A scrappy startup that had me wearing all the handmade hats.
The Crafter’s Box (now Crafter) is an online community for artists and makers. It started as a monthly subscription box with curated workshops and digital classes. I helped it grow into a full ecosystem with premium and categorical workshops, a shoppable marketplace for artisan-quality tools and materials, and a thriving online community to connect with real artists who want to share their craft.
I came in as the creative and marketing lead and touched nearly every part of the brand. From email and SMS campaigns to social media, PR, and digital advertising, I owned the strategy and the execution. I directed photography and video for workshops and classes, designed print collateral for subscription kits, built and maintained artist and influencer relationships, and handled web and product page design. I also produced a podcast and handled customer and product surveys. It was the kind of role where no two days looked the same and the work reflects that range.

Where craft met curriculum.
Three years at a university teaches you range. As Senior Graphic Designer, I touched everything from print campaigns for individual departments and programs to layout and design for the USI magazine (which I also came up with the name during a rebrand). From small mailers to prospective students to big environmental installations, no matter the size of the outcome, I was excited to be involved. I directed photoshoots, designed logos for new clubs and programs, and managed projects from concept through press — working closely with printing colleagues at every stage to make sure the final product matched the vision.
I also mentored and managed graphic design and photography interns, which added a layer of leadership to the day-to-day creative work. And somewhere in between, I won Best Baker thanks to my original recipe for Hard Apple Cider Cupcakes, which felt like a win worth noting.
